Each of Wonderstone's drink coasters is hand etched in Arizona out of pure sandstone. The striking beauty of the natural stone adds a touch of class to any table. Believe it or not, sandstone actually began its long life as sand, formed into stone from millions of years of natural pressure. As a result, this sandstone coaster is highly porous, making it the perfect material to soak up excess moisture often left behind by the typical drink coaster. The photos cannot reveal one thing that strikes our customers about these beverage coasters: they are surprisingly heavy at about 5-1/3 ounces (click on "Detail View" to get an idea of their thickness). You can rest assured they will remain on the table when you lift your beverage, and their cork backing will keep any surface good as new.
