Break Your Own Geode
Here’s a fun and fascinating way to introduce kids to the geology of crystals. Geodes are formed from fluids which crystallize in cavities within a rounded rock or nodule. Geodes are found in many parts of the world; those contained in this package are the real thing, harvested in Mexico. Ninety percent of them have hollow centers lined with crystals. The kids will have a blast breaking them open to look for the hidden crystals!
Each package contains 10 geodes. Suggested for children 8 and up. Adult supervision is required -- you will need to supply a hammer and an old sock.
